FAQ

This page has collected answers to frequently asked questions.

Where are Palasina Studio's events held?

Our live events are primarily held at Palasina Studio in Kallio, Helsinki. The venue is located at street level, between B- and C-entrances. The studio’s address is Kirstinkatu 3 D 8, 00530 Helsinki.

Currently, trams 1, 3, 8, and 9 stop at Urheilutalo, from where it’s just over a one-minute walk to the studio. By metro, you can reach either Hakaniemi or Sörnäinen, and bus 23 as well as lines running along Sturenkatu also stop fairly close by. If you are traveling by car, please note that Palasina Studio does not have its own parking spaces; street parking is available in the area.

Our remote competitions are held on Google Meet, so you can conveniently participate from home.

We are also flexible within the Helsinki metropolitan area, so you can book us to organize an event at your own venue as well.

Where can I buy tickets?

We currently sell event tickets through Holvi.

You can find our upcoming events and ticket shop here.

You can also find more information about ticket purchases, puzzle deliveries, and returns on the online shop page.

Who are the events suitable for?

We organize events for different skill levels (from beginners to advanced) and target groups. Our events are primarily intended for adults, unless otherwise stated in the event description. You can find more information in the event descriptions and in our online shop.

What if I don't finish the puzzle during the event?

It doesn’t matter if you don’t finish within the given time, the most important things are learning and having fun!

At the end of each competition, the pieces of unfinished puzzles are counted, and your result is based on the number of pieces you have assembled. Competition puzzles are yours to keep after the event, so you can continue practicing independently at home and try to conquering the puzzle again later on.

If you are participating in Puzzle Club and it looks like you won’t be able to finish the puzzle in time, you can ask other participants for help with assembling. We can also store a few puzzles between two consecutive meetups, so in some cases you may continue working on the puzzle during the next session.

Why do you recommend arriving at events well in advance?

Our events begin at the time stated in the event description. We recommend arriving at the studio or joining the online meeting about 10-15 minutes before the start, so you have time to settle in comfortably. This is especially important for competitions, so you don’t miss the short rules briefing and, in remote competitions, so you can open the competition puzzle according to the instructions before starting.
